intraday margin

Every broker defines these things differently. Where can I get more information on the NT brokerage definitions for ES?

CME Globex is open almost 24 hours per day.

Does intraday mean open and close a position in one day without holding after 4pm EST? Or does it mean open and close a position between regular USA trading hours (930-4 EST)?
