chart trader error

I just tried to buy symbol GLD using chart trader and I got an order error

"The contract description specified for GLD is ambiguous. affected order: buy ... "
My broker is Interactive Brokers

Is there something I can change on my Ninja8 platform to fix this?

Thank you for your post,

You'll need to change some settings within the instrument itself to get this to work.

Go to Tools > Instruments > Search GLD > Double click to open the settings.

For exchanges, select both "Arca" and "Default"


Under the lower symbol map, next to Interactive Brokers, enter "GLD|SMART" > Press OK.

To type the "|" use the key that is above your Enter button, this a a pipe symbol or a vertical line; the key also has the "\" symbol as well.

Try reopening your chart and resubmitting the orders.
