How should i be connected on weekends?

thus far this weekend i have been unsuccessful in getting price data to flow into my strategy when using the NT8 debugger. I am new to the debugger and NT8 so can be doing any number of things wrong.
anyhow, how should i be connected on weekends [i.e.] ninja continuum, playback connection or simulated data feed?

For the weekend - if you have playback data - use that.

If you don't have playback data, then use the simulated data feed - you can control up trends/down trends with the controller - so it's going for testing crossover type conditions, etc... as it's going up or down based on what you want it to do.

I would expect nothing happened when connected live on the weekend.

sounds like one has to something special to have playback data ... why isn't it always there, just like simulated data is always there?

Yes, you must either record data for playback, or else you have to download the data. In NT8, you can finally actually use historical data as your playback data source.
