Hello laredo7877,
Is your inquiry on the same subject?
Are you currently connected to the Playback connection?
Have you downloaded the historical data prior to the date and time of playback before connecting to the Playback connection?
Please attach a screenshot showing the Playback controller so that we may see where the date in playback is set to begin, and also include a screenshot of the Historical Data window showing the Historical data has been downloaded previous to connecting to the playback connection.
To send a screenshot with Windows 7 or newer I would recommend using Window's Snipping Tool.
Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

If you are in a hurry to get support, send a new email (do not reply to an email) to platformsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com. Your email will be answered by the first technician available.

Hello Shienri,
The Playback connection is similar to the Simulated Data Feed in that this is a built in connection and does not provide a connection to the historical data server. Both Market Replay (and Historical if needed) data will need to be downloaded prior to connecting to this connection.
Historical data is used to backfill a chart. If you have this downloaded from a data provider or brokerage connection before connecting to the Playback connection for the time period prior to where the Market Replay data starts, the historical data will populate the chart.
Market Replay data is a recorded stream and not the same as historical data. You can can think of this as real-time. After the historical data has populated the chart the playback recording will begin. If no historical data is downloaded the chart will be blank, and will build slowly with real-time data (playback data) as the playback advances.
(This is also the case with NinjaTrader 7)Last edited by NinjaTrader_ChelseaB; 12-05-2016, 08:29 AM.

Hi Chelsea,
I wasnt connected to any provider yet,
but using all the replay data downloaded from provider.
Since I downloaded all the replay data for the missing days,
I wonder why when I do testing on a later day,
the days earlier thats already downloaded did not appear on the chart.
Thank you

Hello Shienri,
Thanks for your note.
Historical data is downloaded from a connected data provider or brokerage.
Who are you currently connected to?
Are there any errors on the Log tab of the Control Center?
If so, what do these say?

Think because I was in replay connections so
I cant click on the reload historic data as it shows up as grey.
