Unable to clear out cache data

After startup i often get an error stating: "Unable to clear out cache data".
The Trace File says:

2016-11-29 15:53:59:003 ERROR: Data.Bars.ClearCache: System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file 'C:\Users\aloha\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\cache\Default 24 x 7.W. Europe Standard Time\TICK\ES 12-16\90_3_1_Last_Close_Tick_Minute_1.201611230600.209912010000.LastSR.ntt' because it is being used by another process.
   at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
   at System.IO.File.InternalDelete(String path, Boolean checkHost)
   at NinjaTrader.Data.BarsSeries.ClearCache(Instrument instrument, DateTime firstData2Clear, Boolean clearReplayCache, Nullable`1 barsPeriodType)

if i manually delete the cache files, it works for the first time without an error and then the error is back again.

Any ideas?

Deleting the cache files, generally, resolves the error message you provided. Additionally, this error provides further information stating that another process is accessing NinjaTrader 8's files while NinjaTrader is running. As a troubleshooter, I would suggest that you disable any backup/ant-virus/firewall software to see if any of these applications are accessing NinjaTrader's files at the same time.

If you see the same, we've also seen these messages in relation to expired third-party indicators or add-ons. If you have any of these, I suggest removing them to see if that will resolve the error message. To remove:

* Tools > Remove NinjaScript Assembly
