NT8 Date time on Chart
If you scroll, How do you tell what date you are looking at in NT8. The date on the X axis does not always appear and if you are using a short time frame you can have to scroll too far to find it. Please have an option to place the date on the top of the chart similar to NT7 . The Date range of loaded data does not cut it. NT8 claims to have so many new features but it has lost way too many standard ones that a trader relies on.

To get the date, right click in the chart > Properties > Show date range. What standard features were lost may I ask?Originally posted by JerryWar View PostIf you scroll, How do you tell what date you are looking at in NT8. Ray,
I did this and kept looking at it thinking it was the total date range loaded. So that is my fault, but you hid the information in clutter. In all my years I have never had to know anything but the date of the last bar on the chart. So add an option to simplify this ( date or Range )

Hi is there any way to display the day of the week on the chart or format the show date range so that it shows the day of the week instead of just the numerical date. Thanks.

Hello tradertom2012,
Thank you for your post.
The add-on mentioned by brucerobinson is publicly available on our NinjaTrader Ecosystem website:- https://ninjatraderecosystem.com/user-app-share-download/dayofweek/
- Download the NinjaScripts to your desktop, and keep them in the compressed .zip file.
- From the Control Center window, click Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-on...
- Select the downloaded .zip file
Critical - Specifically for some NinjaScripts, it will prompt that you are running newer versions of @SMA, @EMA, etc., and ask if you want to replace them, Always select 'No'.
Once installed, you may add the indicator to a chart by right-clicking in your Chart > Indicators > and double-clicking the Indicator from the 'Available' list on the left.
Here is a short video demonstration of the import process - How to Install a 3rd Party Indicator or App
Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
