Upgrade nt7 to nt8

Hello joemiller, and thank you for your question.
If your load is taking a very long time, these steps should speed up your migration process.
- kill the NinjaTrader 8 process from the task manager (ctrl + shift + esc)
- delete your (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\NinjaTrader.sdf file
- delete your (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 8\Config.xml and UI.xml files
- close NinjaTrader 7 if it is open
- rename your (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7 folder. I like names that include today's date.
- re-install NinjaTrader 7
- copy your Config.xml file from your renamed NinjaTrader 7 folder to your new NinjaTrader 7 folder under (My) Documents
- re-start NinjaTrader 8
This process will not copy your historical data and ATM strategies. If you would like these as well, please understand this will slow down your migration process. If you would still like these, you can copy the db\NinjaTrader.sdf file from your renamed NT7 folder to your new one before launching NT8.
