DisplayAttribute() too slow / not showing

Using the strategy analyzer and hovering over one of the settings the info box pops up after about one second delay. The info box gets displayed for another 3 seconds and disappears afterwards automatically.

This is true for the backtest type 'Standard' but not for the backtest type 'optimization'. Using 'optimization' the info boxes are not shown at all. Could be a bug or did you code it on purpose?

Is it possible (xml file?) to change the length of inactivity (hovering over the settings and waiting for the info box to pop up) and the length of time the info box will stay open?

Thank you for the post.

I reviewed the case and I am unsure if there is any way to change the tooltip length as this would be a part of the platforms style, or potentially the property grid. I will put this question into development to see if this is possible while using NinjaScript.

Regarding the tooltip not displaying for the optimizer, I will also need to confirm with development if this is expected. I want to say this is likely expected, there is a note regarding ExpandableObjects in the helpguide page
Note: Expandable properties will NOT display a tool tip (e.g., SimpleFont, Stroke, or any custom component which are a type of an ExpandableObjectConverter)

These optimization properties seem to be expandable objects so this note may also apply in this case. I will review these items and post back more information once I have it.

The tooltips not being displayed was submitted for review, it was not necessarily expected so I have submitted a bug report. I am unsure if this will be changed but it will be re reviewed. I also tagged the timing of the tooltip to this report see if that is expected.

I find that the tool tips take too long to initially pop up and do not stay long enough for someone to read a long description. The NT7 Description box was far superior in this regard.

I would like to add another vote to being able to set the duration a tool tip description displays on a NT8 strategy/indicator. I've found a way to extend the length with a custom add on window, but not with Indicators/Strategies. 5 seconds is too short to read some of the information.
