I already know how to do this from inside an indicator program. I need to be able to do it from inside a chart program. There appears to be an access issue setting up the text from a chart program. Sample code demonstrating how to do this is requested.

I am not certain what you mean by a chart program. You said that you already can do this in an indicator, would that make a "chart program" a Strategy or potentially another type such as an Addon?

If you can tell me what type of script you want to change the charts tab text from, I could look further into that.

A sample of Ninjatrader chart type programs include the following.

Tick, Range, Volume, Minute, Second, Renko, LineBreak, etc.

In this case we are referring to a BarsType if the existing examples are Tick, Range, Volume, Minute, Second, Renko, LineBreak, etc.

I am not certain of a way this would be possible as the BarsType does not have direct access to the charts instance. The BarsType is mainly for processing the data to form bars based on the data provided to it.

What is the overall goal you are trying to accomplish or what information needs to be passed from the BarsType to the tab name? I can look into ways of accomplishing this, but depending on the end goal there may be other ways to do this from other types. I would want to better understand the end goal before trying or recommending anything further.
