    Custom script causing an exception

    Currently I have NO custom indicators at all yet NT 8.0.1.0 fails right after connecting to Rithmic.

    I'll try RC1 since that worked for me I think for a while, well at least it came up and usually worked for a couple of days before crashing hard.

    This became a ridiculous exercise for me... very, very, very upsetting!

    I was not going to do any trouble shooting yet from unknown reason to me I did... as soon as I have more than 7 charts, when I initiate connection to Rithmic I am getting the stack overflow exception...

    I'll send an email via NT 8 with all usual suspects.

In your message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's trace files. You will find these diagnostic file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > Trace folder. I will need to review a copy of the files which are named 'trace.20161115XXXXX.txt'.

        Hello atata.

        If you look closely at your error message you will see a reference to Jigsaw JT Depth of Sales. I also have Jigsaw Tools installed and got exactly the same error message when I installed 8.0.1.0. Peter Davies from Jigsaw sent out an email yesterday saying that NT 8.0.1.0 had some codebreaking changes which was causing problems with his toolset. Peter released an updated version of Jigsaw Tools yesterday which hopefully might help address some or all of the problems you are experiencing.

          Thanks for reporting this. I was going to comment that the original post did show custom scripts.

            First of all, I have stopped using NT 8, too much needless frustration, started up Multicharts instead. On my last test I did not have any indicator used from 3rd parties yet NT 8 kept crashing when tried to connect to Rithmic.
            Since I could not find any logic and work around made my move to a different platform.

            I am still using NT 7 with Jigsaw and Jigsaw installation deploys files into NT 8 directory.

              DrewO, I've already sent everything attn NinjaTrader_Matthew with the link to this thread in the body. You shall have everything you asked for...

              If that is not enough than you are on your own since I've had enough for now with NT 8.
              This is not the first time I was having issues and from unkown reasons this was getting bad to worse with newer releases...
              Well MC release candidate running solid no crash, ok granted first day however in the past MC was always rock solid when I've used it.
              I may fire up NT 8 again when 1 day will be 0 complaints on the thread...
