    Charts Open Empty - NT8.0.1.0

    Hello,

    I tried NT8 for the first time today, connected successfully using Rithmic, but charts load empty exactly like in this thread:

    Thank you for your post.

    The scenario in the linked post was resolved based on the data provider and what they offer. So that I may look further into this scenario please send us your log and trace files.

    You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Platform Support.
    Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.
    Please reference the following ticket number in the body of the email: 1604029

      Hello,
      Thank you for sending in the requested files.

      We are not seeing any specific errors in the platform, however, if possible please perform an instrument reset.
      To reset your instruments, follow the steps below.

      Disconnect from any active datafeed: Navigate to the Control Center > Connections menu, left-click the ‘disconnect’ button that appears to the right of any active connection.
      Reset your instruments: Navigate to the Control Center > Tools > Database window, left-click to expand the ‘Update instrument lists’ section, ensure ‘Predefined instrument lists’ is checked, then left-click the Update button that appears just to the right of the two options in this section.
      Restart NinjaTrader.

        Hi Justin,

        Thanks, I tried that and it didn't help.

        I've sent a new log file with new information via the "Email Support" option in the Help menu, ticket 1604029 is referenced at the top of it.

        I did another clean install (including reg cleaning and My Documents folder deleted prior), defined connection to Rithmic. Problem persists. Not only that, but I connected to kinetick EoD before anything else to see if it draws a daily chart, it did, but the data is completely wrong (It says CL is currently trading at $66 or so.....).
        I noticed that for some reason it shows current contract month as 11-16 which is incorrect, but I don't know how to change it in NT8.

          Hi Guy,

          I'm not sure if this happens to you, but I often overlook the simple and concentrate on the complex.
          Just to make sure that the same didn't happen here ... did you by change happen to accidentally sign up for a futures demo? Try loading "ES 12-16", if it comes up, then there's your answer.
