NT8 migration

Hi,

I just downloaded NT 8 and i have questions.

1) Can i install NT 8 on windows XP and run both at the same time NT7 and NT8?

2) I want to contract a coder to build a custom indicator. Should i buy a new computer and make it code in NT version 8? Cause the way i see it if its coded in NT 7 it wont work on version 8? Is that right?

Windows XP is not longer supported with NinjaTrader 7 or 8 - Vista is the oldest supported OS.

If installed on a supported operating system, both can be ran at the same time - they act as two separate programs.

That's correct, NinjaTrader 7 indicators will not be able to be imported in NinjaTrader 8. They will need to be updated manually for use in 8.

Sorry to insist, just to be sure and not put any money at the wrong place.

Does it mean the code must be manually copy/paste in the ninjascript windows to make it work in NT 8 or that the code must be also modified by the coder to make it work in NT 8?

The way i see it many codes have been renamed. Right?

So what you are saying is that i have no alternative than to buy a new laptop with windows 10?
