    Why isn't Chart Trader working on my live account?

    I am new to Ninja Trader. I have a funded account. I have been using the simulator, and the Chart Trader function works just fine. I tried to take my first live trade yesterday. But when I right-clicked on the chart none of the order options were available (e.g. buy stop, sell stop, etc). Chart trader seems active on my platform, but I dont get any order options when I right click on the screen. I wanted to trade 1 contract on the MES. Margin requirement to day trade 1 contract on the MES is $50. I have $300 in my account. So what's wrong?

    Thank you for posting.

    This can occur if you do not have live data enabled for your account. So I may look into this further please send an email to [email protected] with "ATTN: Chris Jameson" in the subject line.

    In the message, please include the following:
    1.) A link to this forum thread.
    2.) A copy of your log and trace files.

    Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your email.
    • Open your NinjaTrader folder under, "Documents" (sometimes called, "My Documents")
    • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    • Send the 2 compressed folders as an attachment in your email
    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

      I figured out the problem. I didn't have my live account toggled on.
