VPS: Bandwidth question?

I see that many VPS offers limit the monthly bandwidth. What would be the required bandwidth for a strategy on MNQ that doesn't connect on weekends?

I have moved this thread from the Strategy Development section of the forums to the Platform Technical Support section of the forums as this is not an inquiry about strategy development or programming NinjaScripts in C#.

Unfortunately, this is not something that is predictable as this will depend on the volume (amount of market updates), how much historical data is loading, how many instruments are streaming, how many order messages are going back and forth, etc.

This also not something our support team measures.

I would recommend doing some testing to see how much your specific environment is using in data in a month, and likely you would need to average that over several months.

This thread will remain open for any community members who would like to provide personal experience.

Thank you for posting the post in the right place and for your response.
However, I would like to understand how NT8 works.
When I place an order with SL and TP, are the SL and TP saved with my broker and tested there, or do they remain on my machine and are tested every tick or every time the price changes? Aside from the parameters required to enter an order, what messages does NT8 send?

Orders that are not simulated are submitted to the brokerage servers and reside on the brokerage servers / exchange servers until filled.

Simulated orders (like Simulated Stop Loss) are held on the computer locally until touched and then are submitted to the brokerage.
