New NT8 Version Freezes
Hi, I just upgraded to version 8.1.4.2 64-bit of NT8 and now anytime I try and move a horizontal line I have that is on multiple charts NT8 freezes up. Can I revert back to a previous version so I can have NT8 function properly the way it used to? Or do you have another fix for this problem that just started after my upgrade?

Thank you for the message.
I am not aware of the update to 8.1.4.2 causing the behavior you are describing so it is most likely a coincidence that you are seeing this behavior now.- Or, you had something in your platform that needs a new version to run as expected on the most current version of NinjaTrader.
If you are referring to a 3rd party "Horizontal Line" or "Labeled Horizontal Lines" drawing tool, then you would want to reach out to the developer of those add-ons and ask why it started to cause freezing on the most current version of NinjaTrader.
Before going through the hassle of downgrading, just to be in the same spot you are in now, it would be better to test your platform in Safe Mode and see if the behavior continues there first:- How Do I Open NinjaTrader Desktop in Safe Mode?
- Once NinjaTrader is in Safe mode, try drawing the Horizontal Line and seeing if the freezing continues.
- If yes, we can provide the steps to do a fresh installation of the platform.
- If no, that means the behavior was specific to something in your original Workspace/setup. You could either:
- Remove things from the Original Workspace 1-by-1 until the unwanted behaviors go away and you will know the last thing removed was causing it.
- Or, continue with the Test Workspace and build it back up 1-by-1 until the behaviors return so you know the last thing added back in is causing the unwanted behaviors
- Once you narrow in on what is causing the Unwanted behaviors, you could reach out to the developer for further help and information on why it is
- Once NinjaTrader is in Safe mode, try drawing the Horizontal Line and seeing if the freezing continues.
Please let us know if the behavior continued in Safe Mode and we will provide steps for a fresh installation.
Otherwise, you will want to investigate what within that workspace was causing the freezing to happen.

#mmenigma - there are multiple reported issues with 8.1.4.2 which did not occur with earlier versions
