    Account already exists error

    I have been getting this problem, i get a sudden "connection lost" then hear the reconnect chime and then this msg pops up on the accounts. I feel like it's happening when an account gets dropped and reconnected which happens from time to time with some props. The thing is it is referencing two different connections there, the account number mentioned below is on configuration for "2. Tradeify" not on "4. Apex" i don't know why it is giving this error. Sometimes the Apex accounts are the ones that have the problem and i have like 20 of them which is really a pain to hit OK so many times. Sometimes it happens in a trade and i cant do anything until i close all the boxes. Any ideas?


    "The account 'FTDYSFXXXX' of connection '4. APEX' already exists on connection '2. Tradeify', NinjaTrader does not support multiple accounts with the same name. Please contact customer support."

    In the future, please write in with any account or connection related inquired to the Support team directly. If we had your Trace files, we could provide much more specific insight with this question.


    It sounds like you have two different connections set up with the same credentials even though the connections have different names.
    • So, your connection 2 and 4 may be called different things, but have the same credentials which are making it connect to the same set of accounts twice and cause this error.

    If you would like more specific information, please use the following steps to send your log and trace files to the support team directly from your NinjaTrader Platform so we may investigate this behavior further:
    • Within NinjaTrader, go to the Control Center > Help > Email Support...
    • To: Set this to "Platform Technical Support"
    • Subject: Copy and paste the Forum URL
    • Attach: Attach a file, picture, or compressed file to share multiple files/pictures
    • Body: Include any other information you would like to share on the situation
    • Make sure 'Log and Trace files' is checked to include the requested files
      • Send the email
