Cannot start connected to "Live" under "Connections"

    Hi!

I've returned to using NT after a while of not trading futures and for some reason whenever I boot it up it's not connected to anything under the "Connections" tab on the control center. It just shows I'm in the account Sim101.

When I do manually connect to the "Live" connection in the dropdown and it loads up my Live account and another Sim101 account and they always shows me this message even though I already subscribed to Live Market Data for CME products (I trade /ES and /MES).

I haven't had this problem before and I tried a lot of network configuration, looking through "Help", searching forums and re-wiping NT's cache files and whatnot to reset it but I still have the same issue.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Hello AyeSir,

Thank you for posting on the NinjaTrader forums.

If you've already subscribed to market data please make sure that you are not attempting to load a chart for an instrument that is not part of your plan. If you're loading the 'default workspace' that comes preconfigured with your platform it'll be requesting data for instruments outside of your market data subscription and lead to confusion.

You can always visit the 'Log' tab on the control to see what instruments are being marked as 'delayed'.

    Thank you in advance!

The message does not appear during regular market hours. Perhaps it's only appearing when the futures market for ES/NQ is down for maintenance that it would pop that message up.

Though I was wondering if you had a possible solution to my initial question that might've been linked to this popup message issue. How do I get my NT to connect to the "Live" connection on startup? Or is that not possible and I always have to manually connect it myself?

      Thanks

You can go about this a couple of different ways, you can turn off 'multi provider' mode by going to Tools > Options > General > Multi Provider. This will allow you to auto connect.

If you prefer to keep multi provider turned on, you can go to Connections > Configure and create a connection to 'My NinjaTrader' where you can turn on 'connect on startup' and fill your credentials in the boxes.

Please let us know if there's anything else we can assist with.

I got it now. This is the setup I remember I was used to months ago when I was using NT. Appreciate the quick replies!
