Another day, another data feed problem

Missing bars, ES showing 100pts difference to MES And 200pts off the S&P. Just another day with NT data.

This data feed must be from 1995...it can't keep up with today's markets.

Thank you for the message.

When I load in a Test Chart, I'm not seeing a difference like that. Here is what my chart looks like for today when using the "NinjaTrader" connection

Please right-click on the background of your chart and select "Reload all historical Data"

If your chart is still different, please use the following steps to remove all of the old Historical Data from the platform and re-download the data new:

• Close NinjaTrader
• Go to the Documents folder > NinjaTrader 8 > db, this folder holds all of the historical data
  • Delete the following folders:
    • Tick
    • Minute
    • Day
    • Cache
      • Do NOT delete any other files or folders
  • After Deleting these folders, reopen NinjaTrader and it will make New ones automatically.

Reconnect to the account > Wait for the chart to load in > Check if they look similar.


If you are curious about the indicator in the middle, it is a 3rd party add-on from the publicly available NinjaTrader Ecosystem website so I could compare the difference between the two data series.

  • I unchecked the "Use Multiplier" setting in the picture above.

Here is a basic guideline on how to import NinjaScript add-ons in NinjaTrader:

1. Download the NinjaScripts to your desktop, and keep them in the compressed .zip file.
2. From the Control Center window, click Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-on...
3. Select the downloaded .zip file
4. NinjaTrader will then confirm if the import has been successful.

Critical - Specifically for some NinjaScripts, it will prompt that you are running newer versions of @SMA, @EMA, etc., and ask if you want to replace them, Always select 'No'.
