    Code crashes IDE

When compiling attached OrderSpeedTimeZones.cs , NinjaScript Editor stops responding (freezes).

    Hello MiCe1999,

    Thank you for your post.

Is it frozen, or is the compilation just taking a long time to complete?

Is this specific script causing this behavior? To test, exclude it from compilation and try testing again.

Window says it's not responding.I left it 'compiling' for two hours and it's still frozen.Normally scripts compile in about 5 seconds. Both of my computers behave the same way. This is the only script that does it. To test I downloaded a script from ntecosystem and it compiled just fine. On one of my computers, I reinstalled NT8 and .NET - issue continues.

To answer your question directly: attached script is the only script that causes this issue.
Note that I don't need help figuring out how to make it work - I am reporting it because NT8 should not be freezing.

        Hello,

I am not able to replicate this behavior when compiling this script. The compilation completes very quickly. Please see the video below:

You will need to correct the compile errors, then I would also advise testing on a clean environment folder.
        • Close all running applications.
        • Navigate to your Documents folder > Right-click on the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder > Rename > rename the folder to 'NinjaTrader 8 OLD'. DO NOT delete this folder.
        • Uninstall NinjaTrader within Windows Control Panel.
        • Navigate to C:\ > Program File > Delete the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder if it exists
        • Reboot your PC.
        • Once these steps are completed, download and install NT8 from the link below:
        • After you have reinstalled NinjaTrader, add your script to the Editor and try recompiling.

Thank you for checking. Now that I know that code should compile I suspect recently installed Quantower/VisualStudio probably messed something up with Ninjatrader build environment (NT script editor is also throwing sysntax errors for 7.0 C# syntax)

I figured out what the issue was: AI output included ninjascript generated code which was incorrect and made the build task freeze.
