How do I find the current symbol for BTC and MBT ?

    Hello,

For the past 5 years I've been using NT8 if in a chart you type a symbol, MBT for example a popup window pops up with a list of symbols, MBT being one of them. For any other symbol when the MBT for example in this case is selected a chart is opened with the front month for the symbol. GC it's GC 6-25, for NQ it's NQ 06-25 etc.

For MBT it's MBT 03-25, it's April why is they wrong symbol coming up?

How do I find the correct symbol?

Same problem for BTC, in addition when I try to place a trade, I receive a message Symbol not permitted. I use APEX trading BTW.

In addition whatever month I explicitly type in MBT 04-25, 05-25, 06-25, 07-25 nothing comes up, these contracts according to the CME website trades every month for the 6 month period ahead?

Another problem is when I can find a MBT symbol that populated the chart, frequently there is a huge gap in the price, that is a nonsense price, when I reload historical it paints the price bars in the correct place.

This has been going for months I thought it would be fixed soon.

Is there some particular challenge with the BTC/MBT data coming from the exchanges?

I'm the biggest advocate of Ninja, especially the world class support and system itself, so I'm confident it's not related to any Ninja code issue.

Thank you as always couldn't be more grateful for Ninja and the great people working there.

    Hello demarcog,

    Thank you for the message.

If the 03-25 contract is loading in, this would mean the platform needs to be formally rolled over to the next contract for that instrument still.

Please use the steps below to roll over your instruments:
    • Go to the Control Center > Tools > Database Management
    • If you see instruments in the list > Click the "Rollover" button > Click OK
      • This should have automatically rolled over the windows in your workspace
If the windows did not automatically roll over:If you don't want to see the old expired contracts at the top of the list, hover the mouse cursor over the old instrument and press the DEL or Delete key on your keyboard.

Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.

      Clayton,

Thank you for the response. I had rollover specified for the longest time period. The futures box was not checked, strange that without the box it always rolled over other future contracts but not MBT or BTC. That fixed it for me thank you so much.
