I am trying to fix a data gap in my charts. I've cleared cache, reloaded all historical data, restarted NT8, downloaded mnq data manually, everything several times over and it is still not fixing the data gap issue. Is there a surefire way to fix the problem?

Chart data gap (proposed fixes do not work)

Apparently not. The question is. Why does this happen so frequently?Originally posted by chnh1 View PostHello,

I'm also seeing gaps starting at 6am PST and 9am PST on,
ES 06-25
NQ 06-25
MES 06-25
MNQ 06-25
using 1-minute charts. Reloading historical data does not
seem to resolve the missing data.
I'm trading Apex/Rithmic accounts.
Interestingly, there were no gaps in the bars on my 1-min
NQ/ES charts until historical data got reloaded, so it's
definitely NT's historical data server issues.
See attached.

Using CQG - Historical backfill is spotty and I don't think it is their fault. Don't we get historical data from NT?

I don't use kinetic but this is the exact same pattern I am seeing as well now. Just as an example, I'll have a gap between 9:15 and 9:45, and after a couple resets and refreshes I have 9:15 to 9:45 back but then I'm missing 10-10:15. This isn't exact, I'm just using it as an example of what's going on.Originally posted by dpolyakov View PostThe problem is still there. I use Kinetic. Deleting cache, reloading data, does not help to solve the issue. In fact, when I reload sometimes I get even less recent data than previously on a chart.

Hello chnh1,
So I may look into this further please send an email to [email protected] with "ATTN: Chris Jameson" in the subject line.
In the message, please include the following:
1.) A link to this forum thread.
2.) A copy of your log and trace files.
Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your email.- Open your NinjaTrader folder under, "Documents" (sometimes called, "My Documents")
- Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
- Send the 2 compressed folders as an attachment in your email
- Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

So yesterday it happened again, and I think I see the pattern: it happens when there is a huge volume and large price movement, like it was yesterday with tariffs.
Kinetic data becomes broken: cleaning cache, restarting NT - does not help as data in the feed is broken. It is not directly NT's problem, but Kinetick/DTN's. If someone from NT can contact them, it will help to resolve the issue.
Data gets fixed next day though.
