Chart and Strategy Setup

Hi

I am trading the NQ and have 2 monitors. I have 4 charts each in their own window each taking up a quarter of the screen on one monitor and 1 chart all on its own on the other monitor. I trade different strategies on the different charts. I have 1 Ninja account though I am using the Sim account at the moment for testing.

When a strategy triggers on one chart I see the entries and activity on all of the charts and then it becomes a scramble to figure out which strategy has triggered on which chart and take the appropriate management steps.

Is there a way to confine the triggers, arrows etc etc just to the chart that I have that setup with that strategy? Hope that makes sense.

Hello thatsfresh,

Thank you for the question.

Please remember that an account can only have 1 Position per Instrument and Contract.

• So, if Account A goes 1 Long on the ES, then all chart windows set to that account and instrument would show that position.
• If you have multiple strategies placing orders on the same Account, Instrument, and Contract, then they could be affecting each other as they are NOT aware of each other's positions.
  • You would want to ask the developer for the best way to hide the markers as these are sometimes programmed differently depending on the NinjaScript in use

You would want to reach out to the developer of the actual NinjaScript Strategy you are referring to and ask them how is best to use their strategy.

• NinjaScript Strategies can be programmed to work in a variety of ways so instead of guessing or asking for the opinion of someone who didn't make the code, it would be best to reach out to the people who made it and ask them which way would be best.

You could show chart trader if strategy in position and hide it when position closed. This way only chart with that strategy would show your orders. I'm not sure but I think it's possible.
