Rithmic and Tradovate connections at same time

What is the primary data feed when Rithmic and Tradovate are connected at the same time?

1) the order they are connected....Rithmic first / Tradovae first?

or

2) does Ninja switch the primary data fee to Tradovate whenever it is connected?

Thank you for the message.

By default, NinjaTrader will use the real-time data from the first connection that can provide that type of Data.

• Since Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage and NinjaTrader connections would both provide Futures data, whichever one you connect to first will provide the Real-time and Historical Data.

As several suggested, if you would like for the Platform to ignore the connection order and use a specific connection type for the incoming data, you may follow along with the guide below to set the Preferred Real-time and Historical data connections:

  • After defining, restart NinjaTrader and reconnect to the connections and the data will be coming from the defined sources.

I have a grand fathered license, so there are two Rithmic connectors available in the Connections List

Rithmic
Rithmic for NinjaTrader

What is the difference?

Is one better than the other, for example, is being actively maintained? Or ??

Unfortunately, we do not have any differences documented between the two Rithmic-based connection types other than the fact that most users cannot access the "Rithmic" connection.

• Otherwise, it would be up to you to test the two connections and compare and contrast.

Since the "Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage" connection type is the one that 99% of users have access to, that would be the one I'd suggest to go with first unless you have a specific reason or directions from your Broker/Account Provider to use the other one.


NinjaTrader Continuum is an old connection type used for NinjaTrader and other CQG based accounts. This is an older connection type and users should use the "NinjaTrader" connection type instead when they can.

when I set up an Apex Rithmic account, which adapter does it use?

when I look at the link you sent "Data by Provider", it says that Rithmic has Historical Tick Data, and also Historical Bid/Ask Tick data.

So, then, is this the same level of data that Ninja Replay data is?
