Orders remain on Submitted state until I restart ninjatrader

When placing my orders with my script, instead of becoming immediately Working or Accepted they remain on Submitted State. if I close Ninjatrader and repoen it, the limit/stop orders (tp,sl) are becoming Accepted or Working and my market order is no longer on State Submitted —> it is filled already at the price and at the time that I set it initially (the entry timestamp is exactly when I placed my market order, even though when I placed it it appeared as Submitted).

I do not know if the fact that I am trading on a funded account plays a role.

I would like it to have a normal behaviour where my orders are on the correct State (Working/Accepted/Filled) the moment I place them.

Is there a general reason this might happen?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello renosdim01,

    Thank you for your post.

Is this only occurring with your script, or does it also occur with manual orders? Or orders placed by the SampleMACrossover strategy?

If you test your script using the Sim101 account, does this same behavior occur?

What version of NinjaTrader are you using?

      Hello again,

      I made some tests:

If I place any order on Sim101 account (manual or automated) it gets filled/accepted/working immediately.

If I place any order on the funded account (manual or automated) a slight lag is observed where the order stays shortly in Submitted state and then it gets filled or accepted or working.

These tests were made with a simulated strategy not my own.

However, when a position was placed with my actual strategy, the time between the orders changing state: Submitted --> Accepted/Working/Filled was infinite. To the point that I actually had to restart Ninjatrader as I explained in my previous post.

      I am using Ninjatrader version: 8.1.3.1 64-bit.

      Could you shed some light?

      Thanks again

        Hello,

Apologies, I'm not sure what you mean by a "simulated strategy". Did you test using the SampleMACrossover?

By simulated strategy I mean a ninjascript compiled by myself, which merely executes orders for the purpose of testing.

However, I am confident that the SampleMACrossover would have the same symptoms that I explained above, because the issue is post - execution not pre - execution.
Which means that the process leading up to the order placement is irrelevant.

          Or I could be wrong.

          Thanks for replying

            Hello,

We ask that you test on the SampleMACrossover to see if the issue is isolated to your strategy or if it is a platform issue.

I would also suggest updating to the latest version of NinjaTrader which is 8.1.4.2 and testing with your strategy to see if the issue persists.
