    IB TWS forced me to update - why hasn't NT8 automatically updated its conenction to the new version?

    Thank you for posting.

    NinjaTrader 8 currently only officially supports TWS 10.33.1b which has been thoroughly tested by our development team. Please uninstall your existing version via the Windows Control Panel, and then install 10.33.1b via the following link which has auto update disabled:Once TWS 10.33.1b has been installed, please ensure that the configuration in our Connection Guide for TWS has been completed at the link below.Let me know if I may be of further assistance.

      I just love deailing with all this BS first thing on a Monday morning after a week of total failure caused by the other problem last week... never ending problems with Ninjatrader.....

        Hello Irukandji,

        Thank you for the message.

        The Disclaimer is just a notice and not an error or anything.

        The Error implies that TWS wasn't opened before the connection.
        • If the Auto Open of TWS isn't working, simply open TWS manually and sign in before opening NinjaTrader.

            Hello Irukandji,

            Thank you for the update.

            After testing on my end, I can see that the Auto Logon did not work for me either.

            However, if I manually open TWS and sign in, the connection works as expected.


            I have let the development team know of this behavior so that it can be addressed in a future update.
            • Until then, you will simply have to open TWS and sign in manually before opening the NinjaTrader platform.
