    Kraken buys Ninjatrader - Can I change the broker?

    Dear Support Team,
    Today, I saw your email stating that NinjaTrader is being acquired by the crypto exchange Kraken.

    I personally do not want any exposure to the "crypto space," these meme coin frauds, and especially do not want my funds at risk if the industry collapses or if another exchange pulls an FTX-style failure. However, I paid a significant amount for a lifetime license, so what are my options now?

    Can I use a different broker with your platform? I am finding conflicting information about whether it is possible to use a different broker with the NinjaTrader platform.

    Thank you for the message.

    You don't have to worry about any of that as NinjaTrader will continue operating as a standalone platform under Kraken’s broader suite of products.
    • There is no impact to your trading or your NinjaTrader account,

    Nothing about your NinjaTrader account or relationship will change.

    Your account details, funds, platform access, pricing, and the high-quality service you expect will all remain exactly as they are today. You don't need to take any action—your trading experience will continue uninterrupted.


    So, you have nothing to worry about as nothing is going to change for NinjaTrader Brokerage Users.

      Dear Clayton,

      Thank you for your quick reply. Unfortunately, this is the same message as in the email and therefore does not help me at all.

      You say that nothing changes for NT Brokerage users, and that may be true for now, but I do not want to check regularly to see if changes are being made that could have an impact. Kraken did not buy NinjaTrader just to do nothing with it. So changes are coming, sooner or later. And as I have stated, I do not want exposure to crypto, which means I am looking for ways to change brokers. But since I paid for the license, I would like to ask you what my options are. Can I use a different broker with your platform?​ And if so, would you be so kind as to point me in the right direction on how I could achieve that?

        Thank you for the update.

        The NinjaTrader Platform supports connecting to other brokers as well.
        Depending on what connection you go with, you may have to subscribe to the "Multi-broker add-on" to see the 3rd party account within NinjaTrader:
        Once all of that is set up, you could find and follow the respective connection guide from the link below:
        That being said, there are no plans to make any changes, but we understand your concerns.

            maggo123 It's very good that you raised this issue. I also think it's time to pack up and leave right now. The situation regarding crypto exchanges can change any day. We all know that crypto exchanges, without exception, have used shady schemes, and there are no guarantees that our funds will remain safe under Kraken.

            The Director of Client Services cannot be trusted, especially after they deleted the accounts of a huge number of clients. And when we brought up this issue here on the forum, guess how they solved the problem?
            THEY DELETED OUR THREAD ON THE FORUM. Lol.

              I understand that closed accounts due to industry regulation can be frustrating. We apologize for any inconvenience that has caused.

              The post was deleted due to the personal information that was being shared in the post. Keep in mind this forum is for Platform Technical Support and Scripting assistance. All account related items should not and are not handled on public forums.

              Industry regulation requires that any funds related to NinjaTrader Clearing must remain segregated.

                kraken service. And are there any discounts for Lifetime Users of NT8
