    Market data failed for...

    Hi!

    I'm running NinjaTrader 8.1.3.1 64-bit with Lifetime license, on Windows 10 x64.
    I am connected to Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage (APEX) and, for the last week or so, I keep getting errors regarding my data. For example:

    Market data failed for 'GC 04-25': 'get_order_book error : 13'
    Market data failed for 'ES 06-25': 'get_order_book error : 13'
    Market data failed for 'SI 05-25': 'get_order_book error : 13'

    ...and many others like that.

    I have already deleted everything from "c:\Users\Marian\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db", I have updated the instruments etc.
    First, I thought that maybe my database is corrupt somehow. But everything is clean. However, the errors appear after a while.

    Thank you for the message.

    Seeing the update, "'get_order_book error : 13' " just means you are not enabled for Level 2 market data. It isn't a real issue.

    To make it stop, either:
    • Subscribe to Level 2 Data for the exchanges you look at, then restart NinjaTrader and it will go away.
    • Or, just ignore the message if you don't care about the Level 2 Data as it has no other effect on the platform.

    Finally, please follow the steps below to update to the most recent version of NinjaTrader 8, version 8.1.4.2:
    • Login into your NinjaTrader Account Dashboard
    • Click "Download" in the bottom left-hand corner of the sidebar
    • Select "Download" in the "Most Recent Release" section
    • Once the installation is downloaded, ensure any previous version of NinjaTrader is closed before running the installation package.

    After completing the installation, you can log into the platform using the same username and password as your NinjaTrader Account Dashboard.
    • Note: Updating NinjaTrader Desktop will not affect any custom configurations, workspaces, or add-ons.

      The problem is that my data completely stops updating within the open charts. Trying to reload the data does not solve the problem. It reloads until the moment it stopped updating, basically the moment I got the errors. So, it's not simply a Level 2 problem, which I would not care about. The fact that the Level 1 data does not update anymore inside my charts is actually critical.

        Maybe something actually changed behind the scenes, and I need the latest version to overcome that. I will try to do that and come back with the result.
