Unhandled exception when opening platform

Hello,

I got caught up in the whole Monday thing when NinjaTrader would not open and it kept spinning. I did the fix recommended by a NinjaTrader Forum employee to remove the bin and label it bin OLD. That worked but deleted all of my charts/strategies/indicators/add-ons.

I spent hours getting everything back to normal. Today I get hit with more Unhandled exceptions. For some reason it was only on the NQ charts. Now NinjaTrader wont open again.

This is a viciously annoying cycle. How do I fix this once and for all?

So I may look into this further please send an email to [email protected] with "ATTN: Chris Jameson" in the subject line.

In the message, please include the following:
1.) A link to this forum thread.
2.) A copy of your log and trace files.

Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your email.

• Open your NinjaTrader folder under, "Documents" (sometimes called, "My Documents")
• Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
• Send the 2 compressed folders as an attachment in your email
• Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

Personally I just run NinjaTrader on ninjamobiletrader because it's so much better and faster than my home computer, and it fixed all the unhandled exception errors I use to get. I never have any problems with it, and in the rare event that I mess something up like trying out new addons, their support is always on top of it and fixes up all compile errors for me. Highly recommend checking out ninjamobiletrader if you keep having unhandled exception errors and I know they can fix it for you so that you don't lose all your charts/strategies/indicators/add-ons and everything is saved because they've been doing that for some friends that switched to them.

backtester831 Do you mean Ninjatradermobile VPS? Thats funny you mention that because that is what I am running as well. This is the one giving me problems.

Yes, that's exactly who I'm using! Have you emailed them? If not, just send them an email and I'm sure they'll fix it for you because they always fix all my unhandled exceptions when I test out new shoddy addons. Their free tech support with NinjaTrader addons, workspaces, ninjascripts, errors, etc. is amazing

Yes exactly, that is why I love using NinjaMobileTrader VPS and why I rave about it so much. Even though it's not their problem, they will fix the unhandled exception errors for you. Over the years, they've provided me with countless hours of help with my Ninjascripts and 3rd party addons, free work that they totally didn't have to do but always do anyways and saved me thousands in hiring programmers.
