QCollector - Anyone here using it? No longer boots...

Hello everyone,

I hope it's okay that I put this post up here as I don't know where else to ask.

I've been using IQFeed with Ninja forever. Additionally, I use a program called QCollector to download minute data from QCollector. I use this data for statistical analysis.

QCollector doesn't seem to have had any updates in over 10 years and I've always been worried that some day something will happen and there's no support for it. Now that seems to have happened.

Suddenly, one day last week I just get a message saying "Access violation" whenever I try to start it. I checked with IQFeed and everything is okay with my connection on their end. Sadly, they can't help me with regards to IQFeed.

I've contacted QCollector support, but nobody replies back.

Would just be curious to hear if anyone here who use this program may have experienced the same issue and potentially if they were able to solve it.

PS: Did the uninstall/re-install as well.

I believe I found out what the problem was. It's a Windows Update to 24H2. If I knew that, I could have rolled back my Windows version, but it's too late now without doing a full install.

Guess I'm one of few who still use this program.

Maybe there are easier ways today to retrieve minute OHLC data in a *.csv format?
