    Problems Opening Desktop App

    Hello

    I have been using Ninja trader for a long time and it worked fine during the day yesterday.

    Last night I attempted to log in and the Red N would spin in the middle of my screen but the desktop app would not load.
    After looking online I attempted to Repair the app and downloaded the latest version.

    Now, I click on the desktop app and the log in opens up, but it is white when it used to be black



    Next a page comes up asking me to choose a sim or Live account, this has never happened before. I hit Sim as I trade thru Rithmic and APEX

    Finally the Red N just spins in the middle of my screen and the app never opens.

    How do I fix this?

    Thank you for posting on the NinjaTrader forums.


    This is being caused due to the Apex suite update that you have installed; you have a couple of options to resolve.

    1. You can delete the entire Apex suite and continue using NinjaTrader without it.
    2. If you need to continue using the Apex tools, you'll want to reach out to Apex's support team directly to download the latest version of their toolkit.



    **If you decide to remove the Apex Kit, please go to the following directory on your PC:
    • \Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom
    Look for any Apex files and remove them from this folder entirely.

      Hello,

      I was having the same issue. Since I'm not currently using Apex, I had no issue removing their plugin. Doing so worked. I also removed their templates, as well.

      Since nothing has changed on my end (no changes/downloads for either Apex or NT8), why is this happening? Did NT stop its (unofficial?) partnership with Apex?

        Hello StealthM93,


        Apex pushed an update to their suite and older incompatible versions of this suite that were already loaded on a user's platform caused it to become unresponsive.
