NinjaTrader Desktop license for Charles Schwab?

Hello Expert and Support Team,

I know integration between NinjaTrader Desktop and charles schwab API is in the beta stage. My question: is that doable if I can use NinjaTrade Desktop connect to my charles schwab broker account and do the trade for future/Stock/Option from NinjaTrader Desktop? Do I need to pay license fee for NinjaTrader Desktop software for this hybrid set up?

Also is that doable if I can use Nija scripts to develop strategy and back test with charles schwab data, and then make a BOT for automation trade to the charles schwab account?

Thank you for the message.

All of the required steps are included within the Schwab (Beta) connection guide linked below:

• How to connect to Schwab(beta)

As the guide above mentions, you would need the Multi-broker add-on if you wanted to be able to see the Schwab account within NinjaTrader:

• How Can I Subscribe to the Multiple Broker Add-On for NinjaTrader Desktop?
  • After subscribing, restart NinjaTrader and then reconnect to the connection and the account would show.

The connection to Schwab (Beta) within NinjaTrader would not support Futures.

• Only Equities, Options on Equities, and Indexes are available through the Schwab connection at this time.
  • Data by Provider

You are more than welcome to try and create a NinjaScript Strategy for automated trading.
