Level 2 Data neede?

Hi,

Do any of these indicators need Level 2 data?
- Order Flow Trade Detector
- Order Flow Cumulative Delta

Also, does the Volumetric Data Series Chart Style (volume candles) need Level 2 data?

Thank you for reaching out.

While these indicators can make use of Level 2 data, level 2 is not required.

You can load all of these with just Level 1 data.

1. Order Flow Trade Detector – Does not require Level 2 data.
2. Order Flow Cumulative Delta – Does not require Level 2 data.
3. Volumetric Data Series Chart Style (Volume Candles) – Does not require Level 2 data.

While these features don’t specifically require Level 2 data, keep in mind that Order Flow Volumetric Bars (which are related to the Volumetric Chart Style) do rely on bid/ask data, which requires a market data provider that supports it.


The only Order Flow tool that requires Level 2 data is the Order Flow Market Depth Map.

There are other tools like the Depth Chart and Level II window that need level 2 data on NinjaTrader Desktop.

How can remove just the Level 2 data subscription from my plans?

I only see a way to cancel all subscriptions, not a way to pick & choose.
