    Tools > Option MENU not showing options

    Hi,

    My problem is that when i open Tools > Options Menu, there are no options at all !!
    Ninja version installed is 8.1.4.1 64-bit

    Thank you for reaching out.

    I recommend a repair to your NinjaTrader 8 platform to try fixing this behavior. To complete a repair, do the following:
    • Shut down NinjaTrader 8
    • Go to your computer's Control Panel > Programs & Features (Note: search for 'Control Panel' to find it within the Windows Start Menu. This will be a different window than the Settings page)
    • Left-click once on NinjaTrader 8 > select 'Repair' above the list of available programs
    • Restart the platform after it finishes repairing, and test for this behavior again.

      My system is Windows 10 Pro and there is no "Repair" button.
      The buttons you see on the screenshot is "Modify" on the left and "Delete" on the right.
      ( i know this is "all Greek to you" but this is Greek indeed...)

        Thank you for your inquiry.

        Your operating system may not meet the specifications for NinjaTrader to run as expected.

        In this case, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the platform to see if this corrects the issue.
        • Before restarting NinjaTrader, be sure all available updates are installed to your PC from the Windows Settings > Update and Security page.
          • Be sure to manually check for updates here, and reboot after any updates are installed.

        ​When installing NinjaTrader, the first thing you should make sure is that you are installing it on a Windows computer, not a Mac. Macs do not natively support NinjaTrader.

        Next, you must make sure that your PC meets the minimum requirements.

        Minimum PC Requirements



        Your PC must meet the minimum requirements listed below to run NinjaTrader
        Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2012 or later 64-bit

        •1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 64-bit processor
        •2GB RAM
        •Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8
        •(pre-installed on most PC’s and can be downloaded here: Microsoft .NET Framework)
        •Screen resolution of 1024 x 768
        •DirectX10 compatible graphics card highly recommended

        - Once these steps are complete, download and install NT8 from the link below:
        • Login into the NinjaTrader Account Dashboard
        • Click "Download" in the bottom left-hand corner of the sidebar
        • Next select "Download" in the "Most Recent Release" Window in the main screen
        • Once the installation had downloaded, ensure any previous version of NinjaTrader is closed before running the installation package.
          • Note: You may need to locate this in your "Downloads" folder in a Windows File Explorer


        If you receive any errors, please send us a screenshot so we can investigate further for you.

          Window full updated: OK
          Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 final Version : OK
          DirectX10 compatible graphics card: OK
          Download and install NT8: OK



          NO FIX !. Still the same problem...

            Thank you for your message.

            I should have advised this at first, but just in case, please make sure you have not expanded the menu too far to the right.

            Hover your mouse over the right edge of the window until you see a double sided arror and pull it left:

            If the platform Tools menu is still not displaying, I have outlined a few different troubleshooting steps:

            Windows Firewall/Anti-Virus

            First, please check for any virus protection, firewall, and backup software you may be running, and add exceptions for NinjaTrader so that they do not interfere with NinjaTrader's operation.


            Disable Controlled Folder Access

            Next, press the "Windows Key" on your keyboard > Search for "Controlled Folder Access" > Click on "Controlled Folder Access" > Turn "Controlled Folder Access" off if it is enabled
            • This can be restricted by administrator settings. If you are unable to access this setting, please contact your network/PC administrator.
            • Additional information on Controlled Folder Access may be read at this publicly-available link from Microsoft's website: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...ndows-security



            "Hidden" and "Read-only" Folder Settings

            Next, try to adjust the read/write protection for NinjaTrader 8's documents folder:
            • Go to your Computer\Documents folder > right-click on the NinjaTrader 8 folder > select "Properties".
            • From the Folder properties, ensure that the Attributes have both "Read-only" and "Hidden" unchecked.
            • When prompted to Confirm Attribute Changes, please make sure to select "apply changes to this folder, subfolders, and files" and press OK.
            • Re-open the platform to see if the error persists
            • Before restarting NinjaTrader, be sure all available updates are installed to your PC from the Windows Settings > Update and Security page.
              • Be sure to manually check for updates here, and reboot after any updates are installed.
