Sound still plays

I've turned off all sounds in regards to trade notifications(as evidenced by my attachment) but sound is still playing. What did I not do correctly?

Could you help us further with your request by letting us know what sound is actively playing that you're trying to remove?


There are some sounds that are not available within this menu that you can remove via the following directory on your PC: C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 8\sounds

Sounds like order filled, stop filled target filled...etc

I am on version 8.1.4.1 and turning off the 'order filled' and 'stop filled' within the settings successfully turns off the sounds as expected. Can you please make sure you are on the latest version of the platform?


I don't see why these steps would not work for you but an outdated platform could be contributing to this. Additionally, you can try removing the sounds from the folder I mentioned above.

The date on platform should not matter at all on this. Can you tell me how to fix it? The screenshot I sent you didn't help?

I'm not sure what you are referring to in regards to the 'date'.

I also included information in my previous post that covers what else you can try to remove the sounds and stop them from playing.

You said update to latest version(I'm not going to do that right now as I'm in the middle of a couple of projects & don't want to bring in more options to troubleshoot until I finish this project) or remove sounds from folder? i guess I will remove the sounds from folder then but that sure seems really odd.
