    Import Error Message for add-ons and indicators

    Greetings,

    I've been trying to import an add-on and continue to get the following error message Click image for larger version

ID:	1334733​ then my Ninjatrader 8 platform crashes and closes. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello Mr_Ed,

    Thank you for the update.

    It appears this error is coming from One Drive backing up the Documents folder and preventing NinjaTrader from accessing the files it needs to move forward.

    To resolve the behavior, please follow along with the video and guide below to Stop One Drive from backing up the Documents folder, then reinstall NinjaTrader to fix the file path, and finish by bringing your unique files back into the platform:
    Once you are done with the steps above, you are ready to import the add-on and keep using NinjaTrader.

      Hello Clayton,

      I followed the instructions from the video and stopped One Drive from backing up my documents. I uninstalled then re-installed Ninjatrader 8 and tried to import an add-on and now i have a similar (but different) pathway error issue.

        Hello Mr_Ed,

        Thank you for the update.

        If this message is appearing now, please use the steps below to finish resolving it:

        1. Begin by moving the tmp Folder to the Desktop:
        • Close NinjaTrader
        • Go to the Documents Folder > NinjaTrader 8, tmp Folder. Click and Drag this folder and drop it on the Desktop.
        2. Now, follow the steps below to Repair the Installation of NinjaTrader:
        • Close NinjaTrader
        • Go to the Windows Control Panel (NOT the Apps screen) > Programs and Features (Sometimes "Uninstall a program") > Click NinjaTrader > Click "Repair"
        • Click Next through the prompts until it is Finished and it is done

        3. From here, reopen NinjaTrader and try importing the add-on again.

          Everything is importing and working correctly now.
