    trade performance of tradovate account

hello, recently i've buy a prop account that works with tradovate connection (in control center i've created the connection using ninjatrader as provider of connection type). Now i want to see my global performance unify all my account but i've some problem:
    1. if i'm disconnected from tradovate connection i cant see that account in trade performance filter (sometime also if i'm connected)
    2. if i want to show data ytd i cant because i've got a popup that says "too many days" or something like this
i'm think that this happens because this data is stored in remote by tradovate... (if i uncheck tradovate account i can print all data as i want) so i would ask you if there is a way to "download and save locally" this data or any other kind of solution

ps i'm using the latest version of nt 8.1.4.1

    thanks !

    Hello sn0z33r,

    Thank you for reaching out.

For Tradovate accounts, we recommend looking at account statements in your online TDV Trader Dashboard for an accurate reporting.

Login with your Prop account credentials and Select Simulation, and then you can view your full and accurate account reports:

    Regarding NinjaTrader Desktop Trade Performance:

Ninja Trader generates reports from the last time you were flat.
Keep this in mind when generating a report.

Please note that the Trade Performance report has no bearing on actual trades that occurred and should always be considered secondary to your brokerage statement. NinjaTrader has no concept of 'trades', but simply pairs together executions. There are many reasons why a Trade Performance report can become out of sync. A few examples of this:
    • Partial fills
    • Missing executions
    • Duplicate executions
    • Holding overnight positions
    • Running a report from a start date on which you were not flat
    • Using another application or device to place an order may not record the execution within NinjaTrader, including another instance of NinjaTrader on another computer.
    • Database Issues

    For example:
    • Enter 1 June 4th
    • Exit 1 June 5th
    • Enter 1 June 5th
    • Exit 1 June 5th

In the fill flow above, if you generate a report from June 4 through June 6, you would see two trades reported (Entry June 4th and Exit June 5th) and (Entry June 5th and Exit June 5).

If you generate a report from June 5th through June 6th, you would only see one trade reported where the exit on June 5th is the trade entry and the entry on June 5th is the exit.

As you can see, the result would yield different results. NinjaTrader has no way of knowing if a fill is truly an entry or exit thus it has to build trade pairs starting with the first fill as entry in the date filtered dataset.

thanks for your reply but maybe i'm not correctly explain myself. I know how to use trade performance and how to get a tradovate report from web platform but i need another info. Suppose that i'm using more prop account some rithmic and some tradovate. If i want a global report of my performances from 01/01/2024 to today of all my summed account i've any kind of problem if i select only rithmic accounts but if try to select also tradovate accounts together rithmic accounts and i try to show my perfomance in the last 90 days i get this error

so my question was how can i solve this problem ? i think that the problem would be tradovate prop settings or something like that but in my opinion is absurd that i cant do what i need. Is there any solution ? the best for me is that i can "download" this data and store them locally on my pc like rithmic but really i only need to print my cumulative trade performance year to date

      thanks !
ps sorry for my bad english

          Hello sn0z33r ,

          Thank you for reaching out.

Since the Trade Performance within NinjaTrader is only meant as a supplemental report, if its not working for your Tradovate or Rithmic account, you would want to use the actual Tradovate / Rithmic site to view your accurate "global" account reporting. Since accounts reports are readilly available on their respective account provider sites, we ask you refer to them rather than use the Trade Performance within NinjaTrader 8, if its not accomplishing what need it to fo.

Since you already know how to use the Tradovate site, if you need to pull up at Rithmic Report:
          • When trading Rithmic accounts in NinjaTrader, you should alwasy refer tomonitor your NET P&L in R|Trader rather than NinjaTrader. This is because R|Trader automatically calculates commissions and fees, while NinjaTrader does not display your Net P&L accurately in real time. Prop Firm/Evaluation Service Trade Reports are calculated using the data from R|Trader.
The Trade Performance within NinjaTrader is very limited, error means that you are trying to run a report over too long of a date range in the Trade Performance window. You will need to shorten the date range that you are attempting to run a report over. Generally, I would expect that you would be able to run a report over a range of just above 60 days between the start and end dates.

          There wouldn't be a way to circumvent the time range limitation in the platform, but you can export the data to an Excel sheet. After running your report, it's possible to export the data as either a CSV or XLSX file. To do this, you'd generate your report by selecting your preferred start date and end date and selecting 'Generate'. You'd then choose the display that you'd like to export from the 'Display' drop down. You'd then right-click on the background of the display and select 'Export'. I'd suggest exporting as a CSV file so that the columns are formatted as numbers, rather than as text. I've included a brief video demonstration of the steps above at the link below;

(Please note, you may want to apply a filter if you are trying to export trades from a single account but have placed trades to multiple accounts on the date(s) of the report)

Please let us know if we may assist you any further in the future.
