    Data missing

    Yesterday's data (2/10) for MNQ and ES are missing from my charts. It jumps from 2/7 17:00 to 2/11 00:00. NQ, MES, YM and MYM are OK. "Reload all historical data" menu option makes no difference.

    Thank you for posting.

    Can you tell me what data provider you are connected to within NinjaTrader and what time interval chart you are loading when you see this behavior.

      I use Ninjatrader's data-feed, and the data's missing from all of the minute charts. Range, tick, volume, and daily charts all show the data.

        Please reset your instruments and Trading hour templates with the steps below.
        • First, disconnect from any data providers by navigating to the Control Center > Connections menu, and left-click on "disconnect" that appears to the right when hovering your mouse over any active connection
        • Next, reset your instruments by navigating to the Control Center > Tools > Database Management
        • In the Database Management window, under the "Update instruments" section, ensure that "General properties", "Futures expiries" and "Symbol mappings" options are checked and then click Update
        • In the Database Management window, under the "Update trading hour templates" section, ensure that "Predefined trading hours templates" is checked and then click Update
        • Lastly, restart NinjaTrader for the changes to occur
        ​If the issue persists to ensure you do not have any corrupt data stored please use the steps I have provided below to delete your historical data:
        • Close NinjaTrader
        • Documents
        • NinjaTrader 8
        • Open the db folder
        • Delete the cache, day, minute and tick folders
        • Restart NinjaTrader

          Experienced this issue with MNQ charts-- with data candles missing from 10am to 10:50--- steps worked great

            I had this happen again today, and for the first time the above steps didn't fix it. The fix was:
            • Shutdown NinjaTrader
            • Within Documents/NinjaTrader 8/db folder, rename "NinjaTrader.sqlite" to "NinjaTrader OLD.sqlite"
            • Restart NinjaTrader.

              Hello, im having the same/similar issue, on yesterdays NQ and MNQ charts I have 1 missing minute, the chart skips from 10:59 to 11:01 and sometimes it also shows an abnormal volume of 60k contracts at 13:12. This volume bar sometimes shows the correct data after restarting NT, the missing candle never shows no matter what I do, this happens using a Rithmic data feed and also a simulated feed. I tried all the steps on this post, nothing solves it. I also tried doing a clean install of NT and the issue persists, both the missing minute in the chart and also the abnormal volume

                Is that U.S. central time?
                Because I have the same effect of the missing minute at 09:59 U.S. EST (NY) time, also both in NQ and MNQ.
                During live trading, the data was there, I even have a trade that ends within that minute.
                I was connected via Tradovate.
                Once I was forced to reconnect after Futures market ended that day, that minute disappeared, and no reloading of data fixes it.

                  I'm at GMT+3, so in my graph the market open is at 10:30 AM instead of 09:30, so the missing minute is 29 minutes after the opening bell. And like you, the data was there during live trading, I noticed it was missing after the market closed, 5PM for me, 4PM market time, in my case I was connected with Rithmic. Do you also see the same abnormal volume that I do?

                    This may be due to the time zone you are using on your PC.

                    So I may confirm please send an email to [email protected] with "ATTN: Chris Jameson" in the subject line.

                    In the message, please include the following:
                    1.) A link to this forum thread.
                    2.) A copy of your log and trace files.

                    Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your email.
                    • Open your NinjaTrader folder under, "Documents" (sometimes called, "My Documents")
                    • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
                    • Send the 2 compressed folders as an attachment in your email
                    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
