What would be the best way for an alert to be sent from Tradestation in PC1 to NT8 in PC2? Keeping in mind both computers aren't in the same network.

Tradestation PC1 to NT8 PC2
Hello! I'm familiar with the email ATI process that exists to connect TradeStation to NT8. However, I noticed the official guide assumes both TS and NT8 are existing in the same PC or Network.

Hello marlonbaez2,
Thank you for reaching out.
Since the standard email-based ATI method assumes both applications are on the same network, we would not be able to advise on a setup that is outside of the guide.
The Tradestation order signals are supposed to be emailed within your computer (never leaves your PC) to NinjaTrader which processes the order through to your broker.
If you wish to attempt sending alerts from TradeStation on PC1 to NinjaTrader 8 on PC2 when they are not on the same network, it would require a workaround since the standard email-based ATI method assumes both applications are on the same network.
Here are some possible solutions:
1. Use Cloud-Based Email Forwarding- TradeStation sends an email alert (as it normally would in the ATI process).
- Instead of sending to an email client on the same PC, send it to a cloud-based email service (Gmail, Outlook, etc.).
- Set up email parsing software (Zapier, Integromat, or an email-to-API service) to forward the content of the email as an HTTP request to PC2.
- If TradeStation can trigger a web request (via TradeStation EasyLanguage or a third-party tool), set up a small web server or API on PC2.
- TradeStation on PC1 sends an HTTP request to the API on PC2.
- A simple script running on PC2 (Python, Node.js, or Power Automate) processes the request and interacts with NinjaTrader.
- Instead of using email, TradeStation can write an OIF (Order Instruction File) to a cloud-synced folder (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive).
- A script or NinjaTrader Add-On on PC2 monitors the folder and automatically processes new OIF files when they appear.
- If possible, set up a VPN connection between PC1 and PC2.
- This would allow the standard TradeStation-to-NinjaTrader ATI process to work as if both computers were on the same local network.

Hello Erick! Thank you so much for your answer. Noted.
Another quick question; can a NT login be used simultaneously on two computers? There's an automated strategy on PC1, which would be used by PC2. However, I also trade myself so I'd be using a PC3 to conduct all my trading. Can my account be open on both PC2 and PC3? In this case, the automated strategy would be sending trades to Sim101 on PC2 or similar, while I trade other accounts in PC3, leaving Sim101 untouched.
It's a little weird but I think my explanation makes sense? hahahah. Let me know if I need to be clearer.

Hello marlonbaez2
Thank you for your inquiry.
You can have up to two active connections to a NinjaTrader Brokerage account when using the "NinjaTrader" connection type.
So yes, you can have your NinjaTrader account/login connected simultaneously on 2 PC's.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
