Help loading new .wav files in NT8

I've downloaded some new .wav files and when I load them in ninjatrader 8 they don't work. Isn't it as simple as downloading them in the proper folder on your PC and uploading in place of imo annoying default sounds? Obviously they make it way too complicated like even setting simple alerts...geesh! Can someone please help

Thank you for posting on the NinjaTrader forums.


You'll want to make sure that the files you are importing are in 'PCM' format. Here is a good library of free sounds to browse and pick from, see if you find anything!



When you do find a sound you like, make sure they're in this directory: C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 8\sounds

Ok! Thanks! I will redownload in PCM format. From what I had previously read, I was under the impression that all alerts/alarm sounds needed to be in .wav format
