Trade performance does not include Strategy

Hello NinjaTrader Support!

On my trade performance I have tested your Simple MA crossover in a simulation account called Sim102WG ATR. When I select the Trades option, and select a date range, then I click generate, I get all data Except the strategy. Please see image.

However, I did see it momentarily. I restarted NT and went back in and did not see it again. How am I able to see what strategy is running? Is this a bug?

Thank you for the message.

Currently, strategy names are not saved through a restart of the platform.

• This means that after closing and reopening NinjaTrader, the Trade Performance window will still display trade data, but it will not retain the associated strategy names.

If you briefly saw the strategy name before restarting NinjaTrader, this was expected behavior before the session ended. After restarting, the strategy name will no longer be linked to the trades, even though the trade data itself remains intact.

To track which strategy generated specific trades, we recommend the following:

1. Review Trade Performance Before Restarting – Generate and review the Trade Performance report before closing NinjaTrader.
2. Manually Track Strategy Usage – Consider keeping notes or using different simulation accounts (e.g., Sim101 for one strategy, Sim102 for another) to help distinguish between strategy-generated trades.
3. Export Trade Data – You can export trade reports before restarting by selecting Export in the Trade Performance window.

This is not a bug but rather a current limitation in how strategy names are stored within the Trade Performance data.
