Deposit takes 3-4 days

Why does a deposit directly link from my bank account take 3-4 days? It advertises the next business day. Shouldn't it happen as advertised?

More information on why this happened:

All ACH deposits are subject to a 3 business day trading hold.

ACH deposits are generally credited on the same day as long as we receive the request before the cutoff time.

However, we require balance checks before funds can be released for trading, and our ACH provider was unable to verify your balance for this ACH deposit request due to their API with your bank.

• Our ACH provider has API access to certain banks and in the event that they successfully check the bank balance upon the deposit request, the deposit is not subject to the hold.
• Since the balance could not be confirmed, your ACH deposit request will be held for 3 business days while the banks settle their ledgers.

Unlike wire transfers, ACH deposits do not settle in real-time and run the risk of clawback from the originating bank due to insufficient funds. This trading hold is to prevent trading on funds that are at risk of being clawed back.

If you need to urgently deposit funds, please do so via Fedwire as wire transfers do settle in real-time. The ACH deposit amount will be released for trading after the 3 business day hold has ended.
