Order Flow Volume Profile
Why is it when I make changes to any indicator the Volume Profile indicator readings start from the beginning. I do not change any settings to the Volume Profile, lets say I remove the EMA, well the Volume Profile starts from the beginning that is the only indicator that does that. I've tried 3rd party Volume Profile indicators and they do not do that, they start from where they left off. Any input is much appreciated.Tags: None

Hello mostbp432,
Thank you for the message.
Please begin by right-clicking the background and selecting "Reload all historical data" to see what loads.
This may be happening from the Trading Hours Template that is in use:- Right-click on the chart > Click Indicators
- Click the Order Flow Volume Profile
- Under Setup > Trading Hours > Switch this to "Use Instrument settings" > Click OK
- Right-click on the chart background > Click "Reload all historical data"
- Right-click and reload all historical data again.
If the behavior continues, try switching the Order Flow Volume Profile's "Profile Period" setting to something like "Bars" and test again.- Right-click and select Indicators again > Select the Order Flow Volume Profile
- Within its settings, switch the "Profile Period" to Bars > Set the number to 1 for now as a test > Click OK
- Does the Profile plot for each bar now?
If the Order Flow Volume Profile is still not plotting as expected after the changes above, please respond with screenshots of how your Chart's Data series and the Indicators settings are configured in your response.
Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.

the profile did not plot for each bar, uploading pic, also you'll see before and after I add EMA how the profile lessens because it continues to start over when making changes to the chart.Originally posted by NinjaTrader_Clayton View PostHello mostbp432,

Hello mostbp432,
Thank you for the update.
Please use the following steps to rename the database file so NinjaTrader automatically creates a new one:- Close NinjaTrader
- Go to Documents folder > NinjaTrader 8 > db > NinjaTrader.sqlite, right-click on this file and select 'Rename' and change the name to "NinjaTrader Old.sqlite" and then click off of it anywhere to save the name change
From there, use the following steps to remove all of the old Historical Data from the platform and re-download the data new:- Close NinjaTrader
- Go to the Documents folder > NinjaTrader 8 > db, this folder holds all of the historical data
- Delete the following folders:
- Tick
- Minute
- Day
- Cache
- Do NOT delete any other files or folders
- After Deleting these folders, reopen NinjaTrader and it will make New ones automatically.
- Delete the following folders:
From here, reopen NinjaTrader and make a New 10-minute chart with NO Templates or 3rd party indicators brought on for comparing to my example below. The Data Series and Indicator settings are both in the picture.
If it looks the same/similar, then, add your desired add-ons and indicators back in 1-by-1 until it looks odd again and you will have narrowed in on the cause so you can investigate it with the developer further:
Please let us know if the behavior continues on the Test chart as demonstrated above after clearing the items noted at the start of this message.
Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.

I found the issue, LOL!!! Your Volume Profile indicator does not like the settings circled in the picture (Bars) your Volume Profile Indicator only likes DAYS and amount of days. THATS IT!!! I appreciate you all's help!!! I'll just have to use days and the amount of days I want to look past data. SUCCESS!!!Originally posted by NinjaTrader_Clayton View PostHello mostbp432,
