Running multiple strats in strat tab decrease performance?

Hi,

I haven't found my exact question asked on the forums - so apologies if I missed it somewhere - but what I like doing is running the same strategy with different parameters on different sim accounts (i.e. one strategy per sim account). My strategy greatly depends on speed, and I know if I have multiple charts running simultaneously my performance will decrease, but if I have multiple strategies running in parallel in the strategy tab will my performance take a hit? I don't really have any way to measure or test this. Should each strategy run on a separate core of the CPU?

Hello joehanus,

While that will take more resources that would be the most efficient way to run many strategies at once. This also really relates to how intense your calculations are, if you are doing simple tasks like comparing prices in conditions that would be unlikely to use a lot of resources to run multiple instances.
