    8.1... version

    Hello, I'm still using 8.0.28.0 but I want to upgrade to the 8.1... password version. I have a few questions:

    1 - Do you have a very clear how-to video on the correct way to install 8.1... for current NT8 users? I've been using the platform for over 10 years, I, of course, have a user and password. I use 3rd party indicators that must work on the 8.1... version. (they work perfectly on 8.0.28.0). I've tried to install 8.1 before but it treated me like a new user, so I stopped and just kept using 8.0.28.0. Do you have a step-by-step tutorial I can follow?

    2 - My NT8 account is on more than one computer. Is it possible to have one computer run 8.0.28.0 and another run 8.1...?

    3 - Can my NT8 account on one computer mirror the changes I make on another computer?

    Thank you for reaching out.

    The process to update NinjaTrader will be the same moving forward.

    1. To update to the latest version of NinjaTrader Desktop please follow the steps below.
    • Login into the NinjaTrader Account Dashboard
    • Click "Download" in the bottom left-hand corner of the sidebar
    • Next select "Download" in the "Most Recent Release" Window in the main screen
    • Once the installation had downloaded, ensure any previous version of NinjaTrader is closed before running the installation package.
      • Note: You may need to locate this in your "Downloads" folder in a Windows File Explorer

    After the installation package is completed you will be able to log into NinjaTrader Desktop with the connection guide linked below.

    2. Yes it is possible to have 8.0.28.0 on 1 machine and 8.1 on another.


    3. What you do on one Machine will not automatically mirror onto another. NinjaTrader Desktop platforms on separate machines would be independent regardless if you are logging with the same account.

    If you want the same setups on both machines, you would need to import a back up file from one to the other.
