ES/SPX charts for 20th December shows a close at 13:15. Bug?

    Hello everyone,

I didn't trade yesterday's RTH session, but now that I'm reviewing my charts for the week both ES/SPX ends at 13:15, i.e., not a full day.

As far as I can tell, yesterday was a full session.

In fact, I just downloaded data from IQFeed to QCollector (Excel format) and it shows data all the way until 16:00 like a regular day.

What's up with this? Something wrong on my end with Ninjatrader?

I deleted the DB and re-started Ninjatrader, but I'm getting the same result.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm using TWS Interactive Brokers. And I just noticed this as well on my US Equities RTH ES MAR25 10 minute chart. It looks like NT8 is treating it like a 1pm close similar to what we will have Christmas Eve. It was definitely a 4pm RTH close on Friday.

Very interesting. So it's not only on my end then. Did you trade in real time? If so, was the charts allright then in the day and this is something which have happened over the weekend?

No other users who experienced this?

I see that this is the case with all other index futures (all I trade) I'm charting as well.

Let's see what Ninja replies on this.

OK, I just figured it out. I use 'US Equities RTH' trading hours for some of my templates/indicators/datasets, and for some reason it has 12/20/24 as a holiday with 115pm as close. delete that holiday and you should be good to go, assuming you use that trading hours template.

Yes, they had the wrong date for Christmas Eve. Instead of 12/24/24, they had 12/20/24. You should change the date instead of deleting it so that Christmas Eve properly shows an early 1pm close as it should.

This is what i did to change it. On Control Center menu hit Tools > Trading Hours. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the templates to "US Equities RTH" and click it. The column with the dates hides the year so widen it a bit like you would in excel.

Scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll see the Christmas Eve entry for 2024. Select that row and hit "edit". Now change the date from 12/20/24 to 12/24/24. Also the end time should be changed from 1:15pm to 1:00pm for US Equities RTH close.

Refresh chart historical data with Ctrl+Shift+R and after it finishes loading the rest of the bars should be populated. If you have many days on your chart you probably want to change it to 1 or 2 days before the reload. Otherwise it may take a long time.

              Hello,

              Thank you for posting.

I have reported this to our development team and they are currently looking into correcting this within the holiday schedule.

                Thank you, everyone!

I've been on holiday and it seems like when I loaded my charts today it's correct - without any corrective action on my end.

Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous new year!
