Let's say I enter a long position on the NQ, at 20000 with 1 contract, with an ATM strategy of take profit 12 ticks with stop loss 24 ticks. My profit would be at 20003 and stop loss at 19994.
Let's say the NQ goes to 19996, and I want to scale in with another contract, my new price would be 19998 (20000+19996/2) But the entered ATM would still have my profit target at 20003 and my stop loss still at 19994 when now if I'm still looking for the same amount of ticks, my profit target should be 20001 and stop loss at 19992.
The ATM remains static with the first order entry. Ninjatrader has said there is no way to change this by conventional means, and even you apply the ATM strategy after entering the position, it uses an average of the current trading price, and the current position price.
Ninja has said that there may be a possible way to code what I am looking for. I am wondering if anybody could do this, or if something already exists to remedy this?
Thanks
