Low=Close Alert Not Working

This seems very straight forward to me, but I must be doing something wrong. Sometimes it alerts when previous bar closed on low and sometimes it alerts when bar closed somewhere in middle:
1 bar ago
Data Series Close = Data Series Low
(screen shot attached)

Your help would be appreciated.

Could you please explain to me why this works. We're trying to set an alert for the previous bar closing on its low, which of course we can't know until the bar closes, so why would "Bars Ago = 0" and not "1" when we're making the determination from a position where the bar has closed one bar ago?

I just tried the alert with Bars Ago=0. It triggered mid-bar.

My apologies, it seems the set up you had before, would be the correct way to set up an Alert for when the Last bar closes at the Low of the bar.

Here are some adjustments to Ensure Proper Functionality:

1. Enable On Bar Close

• Navigate to the settings where this alert is triggered and ensure the alert is set to calculate On Bar Close. This ensures the condition only triggers after the previous bar has completely formed.

2. Check Data Feed

• Confirm that the data feed is live and working correctly.
• Ensure that you are receiving accurate Low and Close prices without any discrepancies due to data throttling or connection issues.

3. Add a Slight Offset (Optional)

• Occasionally, rounding errors or micro-tick differences can prevent an exact match. Add a small offset to the condition:
  • Set Offset Type to "Arithmetic."
  • Set Offset to +0.01 or -0.01 depending on the data's granularity (e.g., for MES futures).

4. Test with Simplified Conditions

• Create a fresh alert with only this condition to isolate it and ensure it works as expected.

5. Log Verification

• Check the Log tab in the Control Center for any errors or messages that could explain why the alert isn’t triggering.

Final Configuration Steps:

1. Ensure "Bars Ago" is set to 1 for both Close and Low.
2. Verify the workspace's overall performance (e.g., no rendering delays).
