Historical data import

Hi, I have sucessfully imported 25 years of historical data for MES 12-24 futures contract. (NT8). I see it in Historical data (Loaded) window, but I can not to see them in the Chart. How can I display it in new chart?

To display the historical data for the MES 12-24 futures contract in a chart in NinjaTrader 8 (NT8) you'll want to create a new chart.

1. Go to the Control Center.
2. Click on New → Chart.
3. In the Data Series window that appears:
   • Select the instrument (MES 12-24) from the list.
   • Click the Add button to include it in the chart.

2. Set the Date Range

• In the Data Series settings:
  • Look for the Days to Load or Trading Days setting.
  • Change the number of days to a value that encompasses your historical data (e.g., "9999 days" or specify a custom range).
• If you want to load all available historical data, ensure the date range is appropriately set.

3. Configure the Time Frame

• Under Time Frame in the Data Series window, set the type (e.g., Minute, Day, Tick, etc.) and the interval to match the data you imported.

thank you for your effort, but i nned to admit, that your answer is very basic and completely useless. Any other idea? Do I need to merge all contracts to MES 12-24 after historical data import?

Seemed like Occam's razor was the best approach at first.

One thing I didn't catch at first though was that you imported 25 years of MES data? But the MES was only available as of 2019? Is this the correct market data that you're importing?

Main problem was in "Don't merge" contract data. BR. T.

Merlin997 Can you share where did you get so much historical data from? Was it free?
