    NT not starting even after reinstall

    Hello,

    For some reason when I logged into NT this morning, NT wouldn't start.
    I tried emptying cache, deleting UI and DB folder. Nothing worked.
    So I unitalled, rebooted computer and reinstalled.
    Same issue persists. I login and and the NT logo just hangs there.
    So I tried safe mode and the control center pops up and my credentials are still there (even after an uninstall? Weird) and I can login to my prop account (see attached)
    I'm not sure what to do now.
    Please help!

        I have had this same experience today. I haven't touched the install since updating to NT8 when it was released way back when.

        Every morning I launch NT8, sign in, connect to my Rithmic accounts and trade. At the end of the day I shut down. Same exact process every day for many, many months. This morning I launched NT8, signed in and for some reason nothing is showing. My Task Manager (Windows 10) shows that NT is running, but I get nothing on screen.

        I used NinjaTrader Toolkit to clear NT8 historical data then tried again. Same results - after launching and entering correct password, I see the typical and expected Apex Investing Authorization Service window/message pop up as it authorizes my access. Then I see nothing else. Normally this is when my workspace windows open. I can see NT running in Task Manager.

        I also rebooted the computer. Same issue.

        I then used the suggested "Repair" from another thread - from Windows control panel -> Programs -> NT -> repair. I tried launching again with same results.

        Nothing has changed on my computer overnight. I have all OS updates turned off so nothing automatically updates. I update on my own schedule. No new software changes. Everything should be exactly as it was yesterday, and this entire month.

          I have seen a few reports of this from other users where NinjaTrader is getting stuck when attempting to load the Apex add-ons.

          To remove the add-on please go to Documents->NinjaTrader 8->bin->Custom and remove any files that start with the name Apex. then open NinjaTrader.

          I suggest then contacting the vendor to verify if they have had any issues reported by other users using their add-on within NinjaTrader.​

            Thank you. That allowed me to launch. Very weird because the Apex files haven't changed since February according to file date modified. Maybe a call to one of their servers is failing. I will reach out to them.
