time axis wrong intervals and bars wrong time

Hi I´m on Ninja 8.1.3 with Tradovate data feed, I keep getting these errors with the time axis.

Problem 1 see attached Screenshot 2024-11-22 025203.png , In the bottom right corner you can see the Windows11 time 2:51am ET (and that was the true time, I never had a problem with the Windows clock). Now look at the chart bars, it looks like it´s 2:58am. Also in the right chart panel look at the interval where it is marked 3:00am. Look how shortened is the interval from 2:45am-3am compared to the interval from 2:30am-2:45am. They are both supposed to be 15 minute intervals but obviously the latter one is improperly shortened to not have enough 1 minute bars.

Problem2 see attached Screenshot 2024-11-21 205955.png . In the bottom right corner you can see Windows time is 8:59pm. Now look at the left chart panel, the bars have gone past 9pm and it looks like the current bar is 9:03pm. But the right hand chart panel has the bars in the correct 8:59pm slot.

These problems have been happening for months. It´s a problem because I trade the open, news events, and the close so the time of each bar is crucial. Many times I Reload Historical Data or I deleted the cache but the problem keeps coming back. Also I had it with Rithmic data although I dont have screenshots. I just finally had to make an account here to ask about this.

What is this and why does it keep happening? The time axis should not have these type of bugs

Thank you for posting.

Please use the steps provided below to sync the PC clock:

• Close NinjaTrader
• Right click on your time->Adjust Date/Time
• Click "Sync Now"
• Once successfully synched open NinjaTrader

Please let me know if the issue persists after this procedure.

Hi yes today it happened again and I followed those steps and yes the bars were normal when Ninjatrader restarted

But then it happened again at the close and I closed and restarted Ninjatrader without pressing the Sync, and that also made the bars normal again.

Here I caught an example this morning, this issue occurred, I closed Ninja, windows time Sync, reopened Ninja, the issue was gone, then it soon occurred again, I restarted Ninja without doing Windows sync and the issue was gone again. I attached the before and after sceenshots

To clarify are you referring to the last bar showing as 6:27 however the PC clock showing 6:26? If so within NinjaTrader bars are time stamped based off the closing time of the bar as opposed to the open therefore this would be expected when viewing a 1 Minute chart.

No please look again at that same picture, the intervals on the time axis show the time as 6:32am, the windows clock time is 6:26am, and the 6:27am is from the mouse highlight pop up thing from me hovering the mouse there. Yes I know the thing about Ninja bars being the closing time of the bar, I am watching for that in these shots for example in the after shot you can see it´s 6:28am and that shows up correctly in the slot that closes at 6:29am

If this continues to occur due to your PC clock not staying in sync I suggest running 3rd party clock synching software to ensure your PC clock time does in fact stay in sync at all times going forward.
